In conjunction with the annual barsi of Sant Baba Tara Singh ji, a mass wedding of couples from poor families was held. To help the couples, "daaj" (bridal trousseau) was also given. These are cultural gifts given to the daughter from her maternal family to start a comfortable life with her new family.
